Candle Care
The general rule of thumb is to burn a candle within a year of opening it. While a candle can be stored for a long time, any scent or dye will eventually degrade. If you do decide to store candles, wrap them in cellophane and store them in a cool, dry place. This will keep moisture, light, and air from affecting them.
Soy candles are sensitive to temperature and light. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and dust. Keep your candle in the cotton pouch when not in use, this will help to extend the candles shelf life to 1 year.
Before relighting, always trim the charred wick to 5-6mm for optimal flame strength. If you do not have a wick trimmer, you can use a pair of scissors or nail cutter too. Remove any debris to achieve a cleaner and longer burn. |
Trimming the wicks is very important. Trimming the wicks will keep the candle burning without any black soot and it will give your candle a longer burn time.
The wicks should be trimmed to a 5-6mm every time before you light your candle. You can use a scissors, nail clipper, or candle wick cutters.
IMPORTANT: You should not allow your candle to burn more than a couple of hours at a time without trimming the wicks for the reasons stated in the previous question. If you want to burn it longer you should extinguish the candle, then trim the wicks carefully and relight it. This will give you extra hours of clean burning.
Yes you can!
Use care when extinguishing the candle; a short, directed puff of air aimed at each wick is usually sufficient. Do not move candles until the wax is cooled and set. Use caution as containers can be hot to the touch. Discard candles when there is 1cm of wax remaining
The first time you burn your candle make sure to burn around 2 hours or until the wax pool liquefies to the edge of your glass. If a candle is not burned for long enough to allow the wax to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle.
To achieve the best scent from the candle, it is highly recommended to cure the candle for a week before burning.
Burn Time: 8.12oz: 24 -30 hours, 3.04oz: 20-24 hours
All our crystal-infused candles are hand poured and decorated in small batches, so no two candles are the same.
All crystals have been mindfully cleansed with water and/or palo santo wood smudging before being lovingly added in our candles. Over time the crystals and botanicals may sink into the wax pool, however it does not affect the crystal energy release.
If your wax isn’t white, no worries. Our naturally derived ingredients in our formula can cause the candle to change colors with exposure to light or temperature change. |
If you find air bubbles in your candle, this is simply caused by surrounding temperature changes and will not affect your candle’s lifespan or diffusion. |
When burning a candle, avoid proximity to fans, air conditioners, open windows, or crowded areas with people walking back and forth. Moving air can disturb the flame, resulting in those pesky black marks on the glass.
Candles smell great, but that smoke after you blow them out…not so great. Blowing out candles without any tool can cause excess smoke, a strong burnt aroma, plus can cause hot wax to blow out of the vessel and onto your wall or candle surface.
